My grandma was a tailor. Some of my fondest childhood memories are sitting beside her, designing matching outfits for my dolls.
Every piece in Collection 01, and every piece that comes after it, has been measured using her old tape measure. It’s patched up, stitched together, and missing a few centimetres from each end. I wouldn’t use anything else.
Looking back, I think nomadas started there. With a desire to always be making clothes.
I’ve always loved movement. Travelling. Living out of a suitcase. Over the years, my life has moved from city to city with the same few non-negotiables every time: a booked ticked, a bikini, and clothes that could move with me through the entire day.
I wanted pieces I could stretch in, swim in, walk in, throw heels on with, and wear straight into dinner. Clothes that made packing simpler, not harder.
I could never quite find them the way I needed them to exist. So I made them.
nomadas is built around my non-negotiables. And I hope it becomes part of yours too.
Less things, more living. That is the essence of nomadas.
